The 1991 Leaf Donruss Baseball Sealed Box is a factory-sealed time capsule from one of the most storied premium brands in the hobby. Leaf reentered the market in 1990 as a high-end alternative to Topps and Donruss, and the 1991 edition carried that reputation forward with thick card stock, full-color action photography, and crisp white-and-silver borders — unmistakably premium for its era.

Each sealed box delivers 36 foil packs, 15 cards per pack, spread across the 528-card set issued in two series of 264 cards each. The real chase inside every pack is the Gold Leaf Rookies insert — a 26-card randomly seeded set featuring Hall of Famers Jeff Bagwell (BC14) and Mike Mussina (BC12), plus commemorative cards for Nolan Ryan's 7th no-hitter and Rickey Henderson's all-time stolen base record. Early series pulls can surface rare numbered-back variations (BC1–BC12 printed with incorrect base set numbers 265–276) — legitimately tough short prints. The base checklist is loaded with star veterans including Ken Griffey Jr., Juan Gonzalez, Cal Ripken Jr., and Barry Bonds. Each pack also includes a three-piece puzzle panel that assembles into a Dick Perez portrait of Harmon Killebrew.
