The player on this card earned the name. Maddux was the first pitcher in MLB history to win the Cy Young Award four consecutive years (1992–1995), posting a 75–29 record with a 1.98 ERA across that dynasty run. He remains the only pitcher in AL/NL history to collect at least 300 wins and 3,000 strikeouts while issuing fewer than 1,000 career walks. Maddux was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014.
