Kon Knueppel arrived in Charlotte as the No. 4 overall pick of the 2025 NBA Draft and immediately rewrote the expectations for every role-player narrative anyone tried to pin on him. The Duke standout finished his rookie season averaging 18.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists while shooting 42.5% from three — a historic efficiency mark that placed him among the top-five rookies averaging 15+ points per game over the past decade, alongside Luka Dončić and Paolo Banchero. He earned NBA All-Rookie First Team honors and ran the Hornets to their best record in years.

This 2025-26 Topps Chrome Update X-Fractor Rookie #154 is one of the most visually striking parallels in the entire product. The X-Fractor pattern — a Mega box exclusive — delivers an unmistakable crosshatch refraction pattern unlike anything in the standard Refractor rainbow, making it one of the most distinctive and sought-after pulls in the set. 2025-26 Topps Chrome Update Basketball is itself a landmark release: it marks the first-ever Chrome Update extension in basketball history and debuts the first-ever NBA Rookie Debut Patch Autograph program, with Knueppel front and center on the checklist alongside Cooper Flagg and Dylan Harper.

  • Player: Kon Knueppel — NBA All-Rookie First Team, 2025 draft class, Charlotte Hornets
  • Set: 2025-26 Topps Chrome Update Basketball — the first-ever Chrome Update extension in NBA history
  • Parallel: X-Fractor — Mega box exclusive with crosshatch refraction pattern
  • Card #: 154 (RC)
  • Comp reference: Raw X-Fractor copies of Knueppel from the flagship Chrome set have listed and sold in the $80–$475 range depending on condition and grading; the Update version at #154 is actively trading at comparable levels

Knueppel is the defining performance-driven riser of this rookie class — the player whose cards still carry upside while the hobby debates the ceiling. His Topps Chrome 1/1 SuperFractor moved for $7,000 raw; his X-Fractor sits at the sweet spot where the visual pop of a premium parallel meets a price point that still makes sense to own. Add the historic weight of the Topps Chrome Update debut release, and this card checks every box a serious collector is hunting right now.
