The 2025 Donruss Optic Ollie Gordon II Rated Rookies Autographs Blue #218 /149 is the sweet spot of the Optic rainbow for one of Miami's most physically imposing rookie backs — a serial-numbered, on-card auto that sits above the Holo /199 and base /350 but leaves room to chase, making it the most attainable truly scarce version in the parallel ladder.

Ollie Gordon II arrived in South Beach with a résumé few sixth-round picks carry. He won the Doak Walker Award in 2023 after rushing for 1,732 yards — a season-leading mark nationally — and 21 rushing touchdowns at Oklahoma State, then landed with Miami as the team's pick for a bruising change-of-pace complement to De'Von Achane. At 6'2", 225 lbs, Gordon brings a mauling style that showed up early: in Week 3 of 2025 he delivered a breakout performance on Thursday Night Football, posting a position-high EPA of 2.30 for the Dolphins' offense and scoring the game's opening touchdown. He is already being looked at for a bigger role heading into 2026, with the Dolphins reportedly eyeing expanded usage for the former Cowboy.

  • Set: 2025 Panini Donruss Optic Football — built on Optichrome technology and widely noted as one of the final Panini-licensed NFL releases in its current form, adding long-term collecting urgency to the entire product
  • Card: Rated Rookies Autographs Blue #218, serial-numbered /149 — the Blue parallel slots between the Holo /199 and Neon Yellow /99 in the Rated Rookie auto parallel ladder, making it a genuine short-print auto with a hard cap of 149 copies in existence
  • Rookie status: Full RC designation — this is Gordon's recognized rookie card year, making this auto one of the key pieces to own from his initial cardboard footprint
  • The player: Doak Walker Award winner, 2023 NCAA rushing yards leader, now a Dolphins starter competing for expanded carries alongside Achane in 2026

The 2025 Donruss Optic Rated Rookie auto Blue /149 format has proven to be one of the most liquid RPA tiers in the set. Whether you're building a Gordon II player collection or staking a position on a young back with elite college credentials and a franchise that needs a power runner, card #218 at /149 is the move — scarce enough to hold value, accessible enough to acquire before the market catches up.
