Want to know when this is back?

The original Kanto starter gets a secret rare treatment that collectors have been chasing — Bulbasaur 133/132 from the Scarlet & Violet: Mega Evolution set, carrying the coveted Mega Evolution stamp that marks it as a promo box topper variant above and beyond the standard print run.

Numbered beyond the set's natural limit at 133/132, this card lands squarely in Illustration Rare territory — a rarity tier defined by its full, gallery-style artwork rendered in vivid holographic foil. The Mega Evolution stamp is the key differentiator here: it signals this specific copy came sealed as a box topper promo, separate from the base set pull, making it a distinct collectible even from unscramped versions of the same number.

  • Set: ME01: Mega Evolution (Scarlet & Violet era, 2025)
  • Rarity: Illustration Rare — numbered 133/132 (beyond the base set)
  • Finish: Holographic foil with Mega Evolution promo stamp
  • Artist: mashu
  • Market value (raw NM): ~$15–$25 across TCGplayer and recent eBay sales; PSA 10 copies have traded in the $555–$800 range

Bulbasaur's status as the beloved Generation 1 Kanto starter keeps demand for high-quality singles perennial — and an Illustration Rare with a stamped promo designation is exactly the kind of chase piece that rewards the collector who grabs it now before it exits the market. Raw copies in this condition are the ideal candidate for a PSA submission with serious upside on the other side of the slab.
