Charizard VSTAR (SWSH262) is a Black Star Promo exclusive, numbered SWSH262 out of the SWSH promo run, with artwork illustrated by KIYOTAKA OSHIYAMA. It landed in October 2022 as one of three promo cards inside the Sword & Shield Ultra Premium Collection — Charizard, a box that sold out almost instantly at retail and has been a grail-tier sealed product ever since.

The card itself is a full art holo VSTAR, and its stats back up the hype:

  • 280 HP — among the highest printed in the Sword & Shield era
  • Explosive Fire — deals 130+ damage, climbing to 230 when Charizard VSTAR has any damage counters on it
  • VSTAR Power: Star Blaze — a one-time nuclear option that hits for 320 damage, enough to one-shot almost anything in the format

Because SWSH262 only came out of the UPC box — never a booster pack — raw supply is structurally limited. The market reflects that.
