Hop's Zacian ex — 186/159 Special Illustration Rare — is one of the premier chase cards from SV09: Journey Together, the Scarlet & Violet expansion that made Trainer's Pokémon the entire identity of a main set for the first time in over twenty years. Alongside N's Zoroark ex, Iono's Bellibolt ex, and Lillie's Clefairy ex, this card leads a lineup of trainer-paired SIRs that collectors targeted hardest at release and have sustained demand ever since.

The artwork pairs Hop — Galar's earnest, relatable rival whose underdog arc from Sword & Shield remains one of the most memorable in the modern era — with Zacian, the legendary wolf who graces the Pokémon Sword box art. Zacian's metallic blade and light-toned fur are a natural fit for the SIR holofoil treatment: tilt the card and the sword shimmers.
