Pinsir (9/64) — 1999 Pokémon TCG Jungle Set, Holo Rare

The Pokémon TCG Jungle set was the game's second English expansion, and it remains one of the most nostalgic and collectible releases in the hobby's history. Pinsir #9/64 is one of the set's Holo Rare pulls — the iconic scissor-beetle rendered in Kagemaru Himeno's artwork beneath a shimmering holographic foil finish, housed in a 64-card set that defined what vintage Pokémon collecting looks like.

  • Card: Pinsir, #9/64 — Basic Grass-type, 60 HP, with Irongrip and Guillotine
  • Rarity: Holo Rare — the Jungle set's most desirable tier
  • Illustrator: Kagemaru Himeno, one of the most celebrated original Pokémon TCG artists
  • Market value: Unlimited Holo copies move in the $25–$41 range in Near Mint; 1st Edition Holo raw copies are fetching $45–$90+, with graded PSA 9 copies at around $128–$234 and PSA 10s commanding $1,225 and beyond

A 1999 WOTC-era Holo Rare from the Jungle set is the kind of card that anchors a serious vintage collection. The Jungle Pinsir Holo is one of the set's more underrated pickups — strong demand across raw and graded markets, with real upside on any copy that slabs well. Whether you're building out your Jungle Holo set or chasing a nostalgia piece that holds real value, this is the card to grab.
