Pokemon Surging Sparks Elite Trainer Box - SV08: Surging Sparks (SSP)

The Surfing Pikachu ex Special Illustration Rare (#238/191) is the most coveted Pokémon TCG card of 2024 — and Surging Sparks (SV08) is the only place to pull it. Raw copies regularly trade in the $300+ range, and PSA 10s push well past $500. If you're hunting one pack at a time, every rip from this box has a shot at the biggest Pikachu card in a generation.

Each Surging Sparks Elite Trainer Box packs 9 booster packs (10 cards + 1 Basic Energy each), a full-art foil Magneton promo, 65 card sleeves, 45 Energy cards, a player's guide, damage-counter dice, a competition die, and a collector's storage box with four dividers — everything you need to open and organize in one shot.

SV08 is the largest standard Scarlet & Violet expansion ever printed — 252 cards total, with 191 main-set cards and 61 secret rares. That secret rare pool includes 23 Illustration Rares, 11 Special Illustration Rares, 8 ACE SPEC cards, and 6 Hyper Rare gold-etched cards. The set pulls from Japan's Paradise Dragona and Super Electric Breaker sets and features 9 Pokémon ex and 9 Stellar Tera Pokémon ex in the base set alone.

What you're hunting:

• Pikachu ex SIR #238/191 — the Surfing Pikachu Special Illustration Rare, the undisputed chase card of the set
• Latias ex SIR #239/191 — one-half of the Eon Duo connecting-art pair, consistently among the top-three pulls by market value
• Hydreigon ex SIR #240/191 — the pre-release hype card that held its value; deep rainbow-border artwork by Akira Egawa
• Milotic ex SIR #237/191 — connecting artwork with Feebas IR #198; one of the most visually striking cards in the set
• Alolan Exeggutor ex SIR #242 and Lisia's Appeal SIR #246 — two more high-demand pulls rounding out the SIR suite
• Pikachu ex Hyper Rare #247/191 — the gold-etched apex version; the hardest Pikachu in the set to pull
• 8 ACE SPEC Rares including Night Stretcher #251 (gold Secret Rare) with secondary market upside
• Latios IR #203, Feebas IR #198, Ceruledge IR #197 — fan-favorite Illustration Rares driving collector demand across the 23-card IR lineup

Surging Sparks sealed product has been appreciating steadily since its November 2024 release — it's already the second-most valuable standard 2024 set behind Prismatic Evolutions, and ETB supply continues to tighten. This is the box serious Pokémon collectors are targeting right now.
