Destined Rivals is a milestone release. It brought Team Rocket back to the Pokémon TCG for the first time in decades, drawing its design directly from the original Team Rocket expansion of 2000 — the set that first introduced the Owner's Pokémon mechanic. Over 45 Team Rocket–affiliated cards appear across the set, with Giovanni and Mewtwo anchoring the booster pack artwork and the entire villain-faction narrative.
