This is the Special Illustration Rare (SIR) version of Hydreigon ex — a Darkness-type Stage 2 Pokémon ex boasting a massive 330 HP. Card #240/191 is one of three Hydreigon ex variations in the 2024 Scarlet & Violet: Surging Sparks set, alongside the Double Rare and Ultra Rare Full Art. The SIR is the crown jewel of the trio — a full-bleed, panoramic illustration rendered in the cinematic style that defines Scarlet & Violet's most desirable chase cards.

Surging Sparks is the eighth main expansion of the Scarlet & Violet series, released November 8, 2024. The set contains more than 250 cards, including 11 Special Illustration Rares — making every SIR pull a genuine highlight of the product.
