The Pokémon TCG: Mega Kangaskhan ex Box is built around the Mega Evolution block, the first set of the new Mega Evolution block, released in September 2025 , and this box is a December 2025 follow-up product purpose-built for collectors who want the exclusive promo treatment.

The foil promo card inside features alternate artwork — an MEP Black Star Promo print exclusive to this box , separate from the standard set versions. The box also includes a jumbo lenticular version of the same card — an oversized card with a grooved, plastic surface that creates a 3D or animated effect when tilted . That lenticular piece alone makes this a display-worthy collectible.
