This is the Special Illustration Rare (SIR) version of Team Rocket's Giovanni — the highest-rarity, full-art treatment of the Pokémon TCG's most iconic villain. Illustrated by Krgc, the artwork places Giovanni at the center of his Team Rocket crew, rendered against a bold abstract swirl of purples, pinks, and reds, with sharp shading that anchors his commanding presence. It's one of only 11 Special Illustration Rares in the entire Destined Rivals set.

As a Trainer — Supporter, the card lets you switch your Active Team Rocket's Pokémon with a Benched Team Rocket's Pokémon, and forces your opponent to swap in one of their Benched Pokémon to the Active Spot — a disruptive, high-tempo effect built specifically for Team Rocket-themed builds. The set is Standard format legal (Regulation Mark I).

Destined Rivals is the 10th Scarlet & Violet expansion, released May 30, 2025, and marks the first major Team Rocket comeback in the Pokémon TCG since the early 2000s. The 244-card set sources from Japan's The Glory of Team Rocket, Heat Wave Arena, and the Marnie & Steven decks, and includes over 83 Team Rocket's-tagged cards — a milestone for Pokémon TCG collectors driven by nostalgia and modern chase-card culture.
